The fun Curacao combo excursion begins right at your Willemstad cruise ship pier terminal where your English-speaking shore excursion guide will be waiting to get you checked in and onto the air-conditioned transportation. The guide will be giving you background information about the island of Curacao as well as the sights you will be seeing throughout the excursion. Do not forget your camera!

This half-day excursion in Curacao Willemstad will show you some of the beauty Curacao has on its west side. Your transportation will take you on a scenic route to the first stop the salt flats of Jan Kok and the famous flamingos. The salt flats were the first ones built on the island in 1650 along with the first plantation house of owner Jan Kok. These days, the salt flats are the habitat for a large flock of Curacao flamingos. Enjoy viewing these beautiful, lovely, graceful birds.

The second excursion photo stop will be the former plantation home of a wealthy European Dutchman. The view from the porch is stunning. This plantation once produced both sugarcane and later salt. The architecture of the house is very interesting and the roof is covered with old Dutch tiles.

Your excursion will then continue to the Shete Boka National Park of Curacao. Located on the northern side of the island, Shete Boka Park is full of Mother Nature's beauty. Millions of years of pounding surf have carved out Boca Tabla Cave. Boca Tabla is a wide cavern underneath the limestone terrace formed by millions of years of pounding surf that carved it out. In the cavern, you can watch and listen to the surf rolling in. Catch the view of the blowhole. Or pose with the iguana statue!

Your final stop will be at Kenepa Beach also known as Knip Beach for your beach break part of this Curacao Flamingos, Boca Tabla Cave Park, and Kenepa Beach Excursion. The group will stop for a beach break to relax and refresh on the white sandy beach. There are actually two beaches - Playa Kenepa (Klein Knip) and the larger Playa Abou (Grote Knip). Both offer shade, a snack bar, and easy water access. There is a small restroom available as well. There are limited amenities - no water activity rentals. Enjoy the warm water, stroll the white sand, stretch out in the shade or explore the rocky outcrops for snapping some photos. Bring your snorkel gear if you would like! Guests will have approximately 1 hour at the beach.

When your excursion comes to an end, your guide and air-conditioned transportation will then take you back to your Willemstad Curacao cruise terminal after your fun-filled day in Curacao is completed.

PLEASE NOTE: For groups of 5 or more, a later departure can be set up if your ship is arriving later in the day.

Excursion Notes

• We suggest you bring along sun protection, a swimsuit, a towel, a change of clothes, a camera, cash to purchase food, drinks, tips, shopping items, etc.
  
• Guests are encouraged to bring their own snorkel gear if they would like to snorkel at the beach stop.
• There are 4 sizes of vehicles (all are air-conditioned) - 9-passenger van, 22-passenger bus, 25-passenger bus, and 45-passenger bus. The vehicle used depends on the final count for the excursion.
• Not available on Sundays

Where we meet

For this Curacao Flamingos, Boca Tabla Cave Park, and Kenepa Beach Excursion, you will meet right inside your Curacao Willemstad cruise pier terminal. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• This excursion is not suitable for guests in wheelchairs or with severely limited mobility.
• There is no storage space for a foldable wheelchair on the vehicle.
• The minimum participation age is 4 years old.
• This Curacao Flamingos, Boca Tabla Cave Park and Kenepa Beach Excursion may involve risks. We suggest you check with your elected person of choice to see if these possible risks might affect you.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
