Get ready for four and a half hours of sun, sea, and absolute fun! Your friendly guide will pick you up at the cruise terminal and into the air-conditioned transportation. The scenery along the road is beautiful and your guide will point out some of the famous sights as you pass.
Your first stop will be at Orient Beach. This area is equipped with complete tourist amenities. It is the longest beach on the island and has a wide variety of beach bars and restaurants within easy reach. Check out the many water sports facilities such as jet skis, sailboats, paragliding, and even some kids' activities that are available (not included in excursion cost), or simply take a dip in the pristine clear blue water.
There will even be time to venture to the clothing-optional section of Orient Beach. You will have about 2 hours to enjoy your Orient Beach Break before heading off to your next stop on the Beach Bum Excursion! Note that Friars Beach may be substituted for Orient depending on beach conditions.
Your second stop will be the famous Maho Beach and its airplane landings. The arrival time will be around midday just in time to see a Boeing 747 and Airbus A380 that come in for a landing just a few meters above the beach at the nearby Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM). As part of your Maho Beach Break, you will be a guest of the Sunset Beach Bar and Grill, where you can enjoy a cool cocktail or a tasty lunch (own expense) while you listen to the live feed as the control tower communicates with the arriving aircraft. The frequency of planes and the size coming in varies daily.
Just sit back, relax, feel the cool Caribbean breeze rush off the swelling waves of the sea, or stroll along the pure white sand. The lure of the turquoise blue water is hard to pass up! Be lost in the sound of the waves crashing into the rocks that rise off the coast.
Your guide will transfer you back to the cruise port when you've achieved official status as a St. Maarten Beach Bum! Complimentary refreshments are included: water, soft drinks, beer, and Guavaberry Rum Punch.
Where we meet
For the St. Maarten Beach Bum Combo to Orient and Maho Beach, you will meet right at your St. Maarten Cruise Terminal (Philipsburg) or the St. Martin Cruise Terminal (Marigot). All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.
Cancellation
For the St. Maarten Orient and Maho Beaches Excursion - Beach Bum Combo,we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if:
- You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
- Your ship misses/skips the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
- Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
