Meet your English-speaking guide by the Willemstad cruise terminal and head onto your air-conditioned transport. As you travel around the east side of Curacao island and through the city of Willemstad, the guide will be giving interesting facts, stories, and history.

Take in breathtaking views of Spanish Water, the lagoon where the Spaniards discovered Curacao back in 1499. Enjoy views of Caracas Bay with its beaches, boats, and Curacao Yacht Club. Great backgrounds for your photos.

There will be a stop to view locally handcrafted souvenirs before continuing on. You will stop at the Curacao Liqueur Factory where the authentic liqueur is made. Hear the history of this famous liqueur, which is made from a type of Valencia orange. Have the opportunity to purchase a bottle to take home with you!

Learn more about Punda and Otrobanda, areas situated in the island's capital full of shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Enjoy views of Fort Amsterdam, originally built by the Dutch in the 1630s, and the Fort Church located behind it.

You will also see Scharloo, the old Jewish residential area in the city center which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its many restored mansions. Also located on the island is the oldest synagogue of the western hemisphere built in 1732.

Have your camera ready for that perfect photo of the Floating Market, famous for being one of the island's most picturesque sights where Venezuelan merchants sell their fresh produce and fish from their boats. This is a scenic drive-by. 

The transportation will take you back to your cruise ship pier at the conclusion of this Willemstad City and Curacao Island cruise excursion. Guests may ask to be dropped off at the shopping area downtown which is an 8-minute walk to the pier.

Excursion Notes

• We suggest you bring along sun protection, a swimsuit, a towel, a change of clothes, a camera, cash to purchase food, drinks, tips, shopping items, etc.
• There are 4 sizes of vehicles (all are air-conditioned) - 9-passenger van, 22-passenger bus, 25-passenger bus, and 45-passenger bus. The vehicle used depends on the final count for the excursion.

Where we meet

Excursion Restrictions

• This excursion is not suitable for guests in wheelchairs or with severely limited mobility.
• There is no storage space for a foldable wheelchair on the vehicle.
• The minimum participation age is 4 years old.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
