Your river boarding and falls climb begin right from the cruise pier in Falmouth where your guide and transportation are waiting for you. The drive is scenic and travel time is not long so the fun starts quickly.
When you arrive at the facilities, you will get checked in and receive a briefing from your guide. Then you will follow them for a short walk through the rain forest to the beautiful Bengal Falls. Here the water cascades down over the rocks forming gentle pools on the way down. The guide will lead the group for a walk up to the top, traveling salmon style against the cool water. You can relax in one of the pools and enjoy the massaging flow of the water pouring downhill. You will have about 45 minutes at the falls and is an added complimentary bonus for our guests!
Then your guide will go over the instructions and safety information before you gather up your gear, river board and follow the group down to the river's edge. The water is cool and inviting as you jump in and begin this exciting new water sport.
Your guide will lead the way downstream as you navigate using your board, hands and legs to steer. You will pass through calm areas followed by class 1 and 2 white water rapids for a 3 mile thrilling journey! There will be a calm part of the river where you will take a breather, relax and maybe try your rope swing skills Tarzan style.
Then you will lay back down on your board and follow the river's currents passing under an old stone bridge to where the river opens up to the Caribbean Sea. You will either take a boat or you may paddle your board to a private beach where you will be able to relax, refresh with a cold drink, listen to the reggae music and enjoy the beach for about 45 minutes (time allowing).
Your transportation will take you back to your Falmouth pier.
Travel time from your pier to the site is included in overall excursion length: 20 minutes from Falmouth, 45 minutes from Montego Bay and 40 minutes from Ocho Rios each way.

Show Management Response
Double thumbs up!!!!
My buddies and I did this tour last month and we had such a good time. The people that run this tour were awesome and made the day even better. They made us feel like family. If you have never seen river boarding, it is a blast. It is like using a special boogie board, webbed gloves, pads, helmet and booties. Then you lay on your stomach on the board and maneuver down the river. Sounds a lot harder than it is. There were young kids that were doing the tour too so don't let the name of the tour scare you off! BLAST!!!!!
