Jump in and enjoy the famous Grand Cayman Cruise Excursion to Stingray City then snorkel at the best sites - Coral Gardens and Barrier Reef! There is also a shorter version with 2 Stops...please see our Grand Cayman Captains Choice Snorkel and Stingray City Excursion.

The friendly Stingray City snorkel shore excursion staff will be waiting for you just across from the cruise ship terminal in Grand Cayman. They will get you checked in and in the transportation for a short drive to the dock where your snorkel excursion boat is waiting. Three hours of pure fun on this Stingray City snorkeling excursion!

Your first shore excursion stop will be the world famous Stingray City Sandbar. You will cruise out of Governor's Harbor into the North Sound. When you arrive, the local Grand Cayman cruise excursion guide will help you into the waist-deep water and instruct you on how to hold, pet and even possibly feed these docile rays. There is nothing to fear with the calm creatures but you may choose to stay on the boat if you wish.

After your encounter with the stingrays at famous Stingray City, the Grand Cayman shore excursion captain will take you to the Coral Gardens (known also as the Aquarium) for your first snorkel. The guide will pass out the snorkel gear, demonstrate how to use it and then lead you into the water to explore. There is seemingly endless coral and brightly colored fish to see as if looking through a kaleidoscope. You will have approximately 30-45 minutes at each snorkel site. Your second stop will be the Barrier Reef (also known as Fisherman's Reef) to view another impressive display of moving color just below the surface.

Bottled water will be served onboard. The captain will take the boat back to the pier afterwards where the transportation will drop you back off at the cruise pier.

Note: There is a variety of boats used ranging from 32 feet to 60' feet.  For a private charter see Grand Cayman Private Snorkeling Charter. The maximum per boat is typically 18 participants although the largest boat holds a max of 35.

crew was fantastic, the boat was well maintained. The first stop was with the sting rays, they were so amazing, they gave each person plenty of time with to interact, get pictures and feed them. Then took us to two other stops to snorkel, both unique, one had more coral and the other had more fish, both equally beautiful. The snorkeling equipment was very clean and in good condition. I purchased the picture package they sold with the sting rays, when I got home the pictures would not load from the thumb drive, I emailed them and they uploaded the pictures to email and had them to me the next day. Very professional company, they strive to make sure you are happy and enjoying yourself. I can't wait to do it again!

Fun Excustion! Lots of Fish, Coral, and Stingrays

We went on the three stop snorkel trip, and it was a lot of fun. The meeting location was easy to find, and the crew were friendly and helpful. The sting rays and fish were plentiful, and the reef beautiful. Excellent snorkeling trip overall. My only complaint is that the stingray area is kind of crowded with lots of tours, but that is out of the control of the excursion crew and did not detract much from our experience.

4/7/2017 - we booked through Shore Excursioneer, and will definitely do it again, as we had three great tours out of three. Three great stops, and most of the time at Stingray City, which is highly recommended. It was a much smaller group so we had more time and attention from the crew. (We had been on an overbooked cruise ship excursion here in the past and this made up for that) We paid for the digital pictures taken by the crew (and well worth it). How often do you get draped with a ray? Great experience. Three in our party and probably around 20-25 on the boat.

Great time

We had booked the 3 stop excursion but do to the time change in the US and the difference in island time, we could not take this excursion. However, the staff in the office was able to get us on the Stingray City and one dive location boat that was leaving next, which would get us back before the ship left. It's a short ride to the boat location and the guys on the boat were nothing but helpful. We had 12-14 people on our boat and this made the trip more enjoyable. We saw boats with 30+ people and were glad we were not on there. Steve made sure to take pictures with each couple and person alone with the stringray and were definitely worth the additional price of $50. We would use (them) again!!!

We heard of this company from a co-worker. We were very impressed. Cheaper than booking on the cruise ship, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, and newer equipment.

Awesome excursion

My group of 9 booked this excursion and it was awesome! They picked us up right by the port and took us to the boat. Captain Marvin and his crew were great! They gave us some history of the island and took great care of us while out in the ocean! I would recommend this excursion to anyone.

Had a great time--Would do it again (and again)!

Sterling the bus driver to the ship and back was a gem! Full of information about the island and real estate. Captain's crew on the (boat) were helpful and knowledgeable. Went to Stingrays, Barrier Reef, then finally Coral Gardens. Barrier was not easy to snorkel in with the waves so even strong swimmers might want to strap on a waist float to preserve energy and not have to fight the waves as much. We took our own flippers and full face snorkel masks (which I highly recommend) but they had plenty of flippers and snorkel masks for everyone. They provided fruit punch and water which was nice. I suggest bringing all of your things in water proof bags because there really isn't any place to keep a non-water proof bag dry. I also suggest bringing a small snack to eat on the way there or back because you'll be starving. The stingrays were everywhere and swimming all around us. The reefs were pretty cool too, especially Coral Gardens. I would not suggest taking small kiddos because in Stingray City the water is chest deep on most adults without waves. You'll have to carry little ones to hold them out of the waves. Last, you are on a small ship or in the water for 3+ hours so do wear sea bands or take Dramamine if you've never been on one---there were a few on our excursion that had not experienced seasickness on the cruiseship but did on these kinds of boats!

Rain didn’t keep the fun away!
     5/5 Visited in September 2017

We arrived to Grand Cayman, and it was pouring rain. My wife was very concerned as to if we should do this still, but I was able to talk her into continuing, and boy were we glad we did. By the time we arrived at our boat, the rain just turned into a light drizzle and we took off to the rays. There were hundreds of them! Our boat only had around 18-20 people on it so it means more one on one time with the rays! The guides were incredible and we were able to get some incredible pictures that we purchased from Steve. At first we were a little worrisome getting in with the rays, but after 5-10 minutes we didn’t want to leave them! That stop alone was worth the money. We then went to two snorkel stops and the waters were crystal clear with plenty of coral and fish to see. The guides even gave us some squid to feed the fish with and it brought it so many fish. We even had a few rays show up that were super friendly. Overall, this was one of the best excursions my wife and I have ever done, and this was our 4th cruise together. Certainly a must do! Thanks to Captain David, Delroy, Steve, and Shem for taking great care of us!
