Outdoor lover, enjoy getting out on the water? Then this is the ideal Key West shore excursion for you. Kick back and enjoy the custom-built, catamaran ride along with kayaks, snorkeling, and stand-up paddleboards.
You will meet the crew a short distance from your Key West Cruise Terminal. The catamaran boat is spacious and offers lots of room for all guests. The captain will head out to the Key West lake passage, surrounded by lush mangrove islands on a smooth and scenic ride. During the 40-minute cruise, the crew will indulge you with a light breakfast.
The experienced captain will wind between the tropical islands called keys, while the naturalists' crew share their knowledge with you of the area and its indigenous wildlife. Be sure to bring your camera, you may find some playful bottlenose dolphins and curious sea turtles along the way. Your specific snorkel sites will be determined by wind, water, and weather conditions that day.
Arriving at your first snorkel site, the crew will gear you up with a mask, fins and snorkel, and even a flotation device if you wish. Then it is time to enjoy the beautiful water, perfect for beginners and even kids. You can spot a variety of sea life that lives amongst the corals and sponge gardens of the Florida Keys. Spot tropical fish darting in the reef. You will see a variety of colorful marine life swimming just below you. Explore at your pace in the water.
If there is anyone who changes their mind and would like to just stay on the catamaran during the snorkel, no problem. There is plenty of room to soak up some sun, relax in the shade, or maybe just dip your toes in the water. There is a restroom on board and non-alcoholic beverages will be served for your comfort.
Next, you will enjoy a delicious lunch on board the boat, while your captain takes you to a secluded sandbar. Once there, you can enjoy some fun water activities! Join a guided kayaking adventure and be awed by the stunning natural beauty of this secluded part of the Florida Keys.
If you prefer, try the Stand-Up paddleboard or SUP as they are commonly called. The friendly crew will be glad to show you how it is done, or simply hop in the shallow waters to cool off or sip a frosty beverage.
Back on the catamaran, beer and wine will also be served; water and soft drinks throughout the day. The exact location stops are at the captain's discretion and subject to change due to tides and weather.
When is it time, the catamaran boat will take you back to the dock where you started and you can walk back to your nearby Key West Cruise Terminal at your leisure.
Where we meet
For the Key West Catamaran, Snorkel and Kayak Nature Exploring Excursion, you will meet a short distance from the cruise ship piers. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.
Cancellation
For the Key West Catamaran, Snorkel and Kayak Excursion,we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if:
- You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
- Your ship misses/skips the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
- Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
