Sandy Toes is a private beach club on Rose Island Bahamas and the perfect beach break day pass excursion from Nassau cruise port of call. The one and only place to escape from the overcrowded Nassau cruise ship-sponsored shore excursions. Just a 20 to 30-minute boat ride from Nassau, this magical island will be the highlight of your vacation. Now you can even meet the 3 swimming pigs!
Your Nassau Beach Excursion starts after a short 10-minute taxi ride from your Nassau cruise ship terminal. You will meet the Sandy Toes crew and get aboard the 100-passenger ferry boat (boat ride included). The 20-minute ride to this private island paradise is also a panoramic tour of the nearby cays and islands, part of the Bahamas islands.
Upon arrival at the Sandy Toes beach club pier, enjoy a cold welcome drink and get ready for a unique cruise excursion day at the beach. Make yourself comfortable on a beach lounge chair or a picnic table at the famous "mirador" deck, overlooking the beautiful Caribbean sea.
As part of this Nassau Beach Cruise Excursion, your Sandy Toes Beach Day Pass host will invite you to join the guided snorkel tour from the Southside of Rose Island from shore (optional activity). Do not worry if you have never snorkeled before, your beach day pass shore excursion host will provide all necessary instructions and they will be with you in the water at all times, supervising and assisting if necessary. Life/snorkel jackets are available if you desire (not mandatory). Snorkeling from the private Sandy Toes beach club is especially fun for children as they get to see a great variety of Bahamas sea life and colorful fish (and even feed them!). All snorkeling gear is included (with a refundable deposit).
A delicious and freshly prepare Bahamian lunch is served at 01:00 pm - bbq chicken, peas and rice, hot dogs, vegetable pasta salad, crisp green salad, freshly baked rolls and complimentary lemonade (if you need a vegetarian lunch, please request it when booking this Nassau Beach Day Pass).
The Domestic Open Bar includes domestic beer, mixed drinks, juices, soft drinks, and bottled water. Please note imported/top-shelf liquors/wines and frozen drinks are not included but are available for purchase on-site.
There are plenty of spots to escape the sun including the shaded deck and umbrellas are provided at Sandy Toes. Enjoy the beautiful views from the hammock garden or meet new friends at the tropical Bahamas beach bar. Or maybe join in the beach-side games and activities such as volleyball. Kayaks, floating tubes, and water toys are offered for rent as well (not included). There is a gift shop with local Nassau Bahamas souvenirs as well as beach accessories available for additional purchase on-site.
The Bahamas Swimming Pigs are quite well known in the beautiful islands, and you may have thought you had to travel to Exuma to see them. But Sandy Toes is home to a sanctuary of protected wildlife including our Royal Peacocks, curly-tail lizards, ocean reef life, and now the beloved farm-saved, beach-going, swimming pigs! Meet Babe, Wilbur, and Pumbaa! These 3 little guys are vet checked and cared for on a regular basis, and only given the cleanest diet served with plenty of love, sunshine, and sunscreen (yes, sunscreen!) With tons of space to run around, the ocean next door they take a dip in, and a protected and shaded pad to call their own, they're living the dream on Rose Island! Come see for yourself. The swimming pigs are part of the Full Day Excursions from Nassau to Rose Island. The experience (which is totally optional) is included in your price along with access to the island, snorkeling, lunch, and all of the other amazing Sandy Toes amenities already available to our guests!
There are air-conditioned restrooms available with freshwater showers and a changing area to freshen up before leaving this paradise-style beach and heading back to the ferry pier for the short ride back to Nassau and from there catch a taxi to your Nassau cruise ship terminal. Note that the taxi cost is not included.
Where we meet
For the Nassau Private Beach Day Pass Cruise Excursion, you will meet your shore excursion guides after just a short 10-minute taxi ride from your Nassau cruise ship terminal (approximate taxi cost is $5.00 USD per person). All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Cruise Excursion Ticket.
Cancellation
For the Nassau Sandy Toes Private Beach Break Day Pass Excursion,we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if:
- You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
- Your ship misses/skips the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
- Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
