Do you want to become a Sopranos expert, with real-life peeks into the filming locations seen on the popular TV show The Sopranos? Then you do not want to miss out on the New York Sopranos Sites Excursion. Ride along and see all the sites from the Jersey suburbs to NYC, where Tony Soprano and his mafia pals spent their nights and days. Sharing behind the scenes info and little-known facts are you tour guides, who are actors who actually appeared as extras or stand-ins on the show! Any Sopranos fan will be delighted and thrilled on this one-of-a-kind must do excursion.

You will take a taxi to meet your waiting guide at a centrally located spot in downtown New York (taxi cost not included). Then you'll get checked in and your "mob" sightseeing excursion will begin.

Based on the popular HBO TV series created by David Chase, this tour of the Soprano Sites covers all the bases. The Sopranos features Tony Soprano, played by James Gandolfini, a mafia boss in New Jersey. The show is spun around Tony Soprano's challenges as he tries to find harmony between heading a criminal operation and a life with his family. The show allowed viewers to better understand the intricate workings of a New Jersey family of crime and offered an interesting overview into life in a mob. Season 1 and part of Season 2 were concentrated on Tony's relationship with Livia his mother, played by Nancy Marchand. Unfortunately, Nancy Marchand passed away unexpectedly during Season 2's filming, which they wrote into the storyline. From them on Tony's family compete for his affection between the corruption and violence that takes place in the mob Boss' life. His wife Carmella is played by Edie Falco, son AJ played by Robert Iler and daughter Meadow is played by Jamie Lynn Siegler.

Your Soprano Adventure begins in New York with the exit of the Lincoln Tunnel and the well-known Manhattan Skyline which you will recognize from the show's opening credits. You will see more sites from the credits such as Valley Landscape silo, Pizza Land, Tudor house, The Muffler Man and more as you arrive in Jersey. See a building in the middle of Meadowland that Tony often goes by as well as the ramp to the Pulaski Skyway featured at the end of every episode.

Afterward, the excursion really gets rolling, taking you to a few of the easiest to recognize locations from The Sopranos, including the auto body shop Big Pussy's, Tony's business Barone Sanitation, Bada Bing (Satin Dolls) and where Christopher gets shot the Skyway Diner.

This excursion features major places used during the filming of The Sopranos, such as La Cibelle's Restaurant that was used as the location for Nuovo Vesuvio, the restaurant that Artie Bucco owns. Also featured is Party World and Car Wash, Carmine's Funeral Parlor, St.Cecila's Church and the Searchlight Diner. Hop off the bus for an entertaining break at Holsten's, where the season finale is shot. Snack on complimentary Onion rings just as Tony and his family are seen doing in the final scene. Do not forget your camera for a fantastic photo opportunity in the same booth Tony and his family sat in.

Pass by the used to be location of Satriale's Pork Store, which was built and later dismantled in an empty warehouse in Kearny, next to the Irish American Club. The location is now home to condominiums that were put up after the conclusion of the series.

The list of filming locations goes on as you view where the Sopranos get into a fight with the Native Americans near the statue of Christopher Columbus, where the Season 5 poster was photographed at the marina, where AJ vandalizes a pool at Harrison High School, the batting cages frequented by Kevin, AJ and Pussy, the remainder of the bakery where Christopher shot a guy in the foot, the burial location of Livia, the back of Big Pussy's house, where Tony takes his first Prozac at the Gold Driving Range, where Pussy turns into an FBI informant at Seabra's Rodizo (the Searchlight Diner) plus many more exciting locations.

The excursion will end back at the meeting point. You are free to continue to explore and head back to the cruise ship pier or your hotel in New York.

Searching for something to do after the excursion? By simply following the green, white and red parking meters along Mulberry Street, between Grand and Canal Streets, you can get real authentic Italian food in the Manhattan neighborhood of Little Italy, where the Soprano Family spent a lot of time on the show. You can pick between Cafe Roma, Fratelli, Il Palazzo, Amici II, Casa Bella, Caffe Sorrento, or Lombardi's, among many more!

An influx of Italian immigrants in the late 1800's lead to the creation of Little Italy, which in those days was not so little. It is a bit smaller now with only a few thousand Italian-Americans calling Little Italy Home. The neighborhood has however never lost its charm. Check out Il Cortile or Umberto's Clam House to have a flavorful lunch or dinner. Stop by Grotta Azzura for upscale Italian or La Mela for family style Italian dinning. Head for dessert at Ferrara Bakery and Cafe, where you can taste a great cannoli, or enjoy a tiramisu and glass of wine at any of the numerous outdoor cafes.

A separate voucher will be emailed to you. This voucher must be printed and presented to the local operator in order to do the excursion. This excursion is non-refundable.

Marc, our tour guide was an actor on the show and he has been narrating this tour for years! He loves to do little show trivias and even handed out some souvenirs. There's a TV playing clips of the show in each location we visited. There is also a soundtrack playing throughout the tour. A lot of the neighborhood locals knew James Gandolfini and had pictures with him and if was really cool to hear the stories when the show was being filmed. Really recommend this tour if you are a new visitor and love the Sopranos.

Our tour guide was very fun and in character. The tour was very entertaining. We were excited first time visitors and this was a great way to explore. We took our guides' advice and visited Little Italy after the tour was over and there were so many local restaurants and pizzerias to visit and do some tasting. The Blue Grotto was fabulous. We are huge fans of the Sopranos and recomend this tour for everyone.
