Be a part of history and take a peek at our future at the Kennedy Space Center. See Saturn V, the Atlantis space shuttle, enjoy dozens of interactive screens, ride the shuttle launch experience, experience IMAX moonwalks and so much more! There's lots to see and do at the Kennedy Space Center and will hold the attention of every member of your family!
This excursion is for those guests who have their own transportation. You will meet directly at Kennedy Space Center. You can set your own pace throughout much of the day. Walk under the enormous Saturn V Rocket, see the Atlantis shuttlecraft that has already flown, and then check out the brand new Atlantis that only engineers and astronauts have seen up until now. Touch a piece of Mars, really, and see Saturn through an advanced telescope. You'll also have the chance to observe the engineer that launched the Hubble Space Telescope and built the International Space Station (ISS). You can even experience what lift-off really feels like on the shuttle launch simulator. Hold on to your seats, that's quite a ride!
Then you'll be free to explore on your own and have access to the restricted areas. There are over 60 interactive touch screen simulators that allow you to try your hand at what the astronauts do. Practice docking to the ISS, extract cargo from a payload bay, experience the sensation of floating in space, create sonic booms, even simulate a glide to a landing and so much more. And to top it all off, get behind the helm in the shuttle cockpit! There is so much more waiting for you. A virtual playground for all ages, should not be missed. This is where history was made during an exciting time in the U.S. and what our futures might hold.
