Come and discover the oldest city of Bonaire, Rincon Village! Picturesque, unique, and full of history, this little town offers beautiful hidden jewels to explore and this sightseeing excursion is the perfect way to enjoy it!

Your friendly and knowledgeable Bonaire shore excursion guide will greet you outside your Bonaire cruise ship terminal holding a sign with your name on it and take you to your air-conditioned comfortable transportation to start this adventure. Rincon Village is the oldest village in Bonaire and it is the oldest in continual existence within the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba. Enjoy the 15-minute scenic ride through the hills and as you get closer you'll get to see this beautiful village nestled in the valley. 

During your ride through Rincon Village, your guide will share interesting information about Bonaire and the town and will gladly answer any questions you may have. They will be showing you the best landmarks and their history. You will also have the opportunity to get off your transportation and walk around the small town. You might be able to visit the churches and the slave village and if the museum is open, you will visit it, too. Have your camera ready to take beautiful pictures of this beautiful landmark!

Your next stop is Rincon. This was the first official town established in Bonaire in the 16th century. Here you will be able to admire some of the oldest buildings on the island and take in the beautiful architecture. Your guide will share with you why Rincon was chosen, many years ago, to be the first official settlement when it was discovered by the Spanish.

Back on your excursion transportation, you will continue your journey exploring the beautiful village to reach Posada Para Mira Restaurant. This is the place to go if you want to taste the most delicious and traditional lunch in Bonaire. With a complete local staff and cuisine, you will feel at home trying some of the specialties they offer, courses only available in this village with their particular touch added! Please note that extra food and drinks can be purchased at your own expense.

After enjoying your delicious traditional lunch, jump back onboard your transportation to continue your sightseeing journey through Bonaire. Up next is Seru Largu, which is one of the highest points on Bonaire and with a beautiful unobstructed 360° view of the island. Don't forget your cameras, as you will have amazing photo opportunities here. 

Your sightseeing excursion also takes you through Noord Salinja, the second oldest neighborhood on the island; Antriol, the largest neighborhood on Bonaire, before heading back to your Bonaire cruise ship terminal. Your guide will have you back at your cruise ship terminal with enough time to have fun and continue exploring on your own!

Where we meet

For the Bonaire Rincon Village Exploration with Lunch and Local Guide Excursion, you will meet your local shore excursion guide right outside your cruise ship's terminal in Kralendijk Bonaire. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

• This excursion is not wheelchair accessible.
• Underage participants must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.

Cancellation

• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
• Your ship skips/misses the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
  
• Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
