You have an early meeting time for this shore excursion! It is just a short taxi ride from your Cartagena cruise ship terminal to the dive center. Your friendly, English-speaking divemaster/instructor will be waiting for you. After you get checked in, your fun beginner diving experience begins.

The first portion of the discover SCUBA diving cruise excursion is a classroom, theory session. Your instructor will show you all of the gear, show you how to use it, and the basic concepts behind diving and breathing underwater. They will go over the plan for your dives and then assist you aboard the dive boat.

Your first dive site is not far and on the way there your dive instructor will help you put on the equipment. When the boat arrives, the PADI-trained divemaster will help you into the water. The first dive is to get you used to the equipment, your dive instructor will be beside you. The maximum depth you will go is 30ft for about 40 minutes (the actual "bottom" time duration depends on your air usage). The guide will assist you back to the boat.

As the boat makes its way to the second site, you can relax and enjoy the ride. At the second dive site, your diving excursion guide will help you into the water and be by your side. You will get to explore the underwater marine life of Cartagena just like a real SCUBA diver! Your second dive is also approximately 40 minutes at 30ft depth.

When both dives have been completed, you will have a good idea of what SCUBA diving is all about. The boat will take you back to the dive center where you started this diving shore excursion in Cartagena, Colombia.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
• Your ship skips/misses the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
  
• Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
