Your meeting point for this Snorkeling Cruise Excursion in Ensenada is just a short walk right outside your cruise terminal. The English speaking shore excursion guides will be waiting to get you checked in, in the transportation and on your way for a fun day. Your destination is a 45-minute ride along the coastline of Ensenada. The route will take you through the city, the outskirts and then to a gorgeous hidden cove on the Pacific Ocean. Along the way, your guide will be giving you information about the excursion, what you can expect to see and about the Baja area.
When the bumpy road opens up and reveals your destination, it will amaze you. Playa Arbolitos (Little Trees Beach) is made up of smooth, wave worn rocks. The base camp is set-up and ready. Your snorkeling guides will pass out your snorkeling gear (it is all included), show you how to use it and then help you get the gear on. There is a natural stone ramp that makes entering the water simple and easy.
Snorkeling at Playa Arbolitos offers guests a much different type of marine life than you may seen before. The cove has a large kelp forest growing up to the water's surface from below. There are also many colorful fish including the Garibaldis that live in the cove. You will most likely get to see some of the resident sea lions that will keep a respectable distance on this snorkel shore excursion in Ensenada.
Snorkeling is safe and the guide will point out some of the interesting sights along the way. When you return to the beach, the transportation will take you back into town where you will have a delicious, freshly prepared lunch - fried fish tacos are a Baja traditional style item. After lunch, the transportation will return you to the meeting point.
Please remember that it is very important that when you make your reservation that you provide the following information in the comment section on the order form: Name, age, gender, weight, height and footwear size.
Once the snorkeling excursion is over, you will be taken back to your cruise ship pier in Ensenada.

Ensenada beach sea temperatures range - 19 to 23C / 66 to 73F, warmest in September and lowest in February.

Cold but Fun
The water was really cold but they give you a wetsuit which made it a lot better. We really saw a lot of fish though. The sea kelp was very cool! We even got to see some sea lions swimming in the water. And the fish tacos were the best ever!!!
Show Management Response
not what I was expecting
I guess I am just a wimp but the water was too cold. I really liked it other than that but would not do it again. Of course, we went during the coldest time of the year so it was our mistake!
