Known for its spectacular walled old town Cartagena is famous for its historical buildings, fortress walls, beautiful beaches and so much more. See some of the city's monuments such as the Simon Bolivar statue, the Spanish Heroes of Cavite and Santiago de Cuba. Your excursion bus will stop at all the must-see locations. You will receive a map of the city and can learn more about Cartagena by listening to an individual audio system with earphones, offered in 6 languages including English, Portuguese, French, German, Spanish and Italian. Included with your sightseeing shore excursion ticket is a Guided Walking Excursion. Meeting point is the Clock Tower, Torre del Reloj at 04:00 PM. Duration is approximately 90 minutes to complete, the walking is in English and Spanish.

You are welcome to remain on the bus for a full city tour (the circuit takes approximately 90 minutes) or hop off at a site that is of particular interest to you. The next sightseeing excursion bus will be back around approximately 90 minutes after you get off at the stop. Keep in mind, your shore excursion host may not be a guide but is able to answer general questions you may have about the city. Buses continue the 14 stop route year-round, so it is no problem when you are waiting to go to the next site you've picked to visit.

The buses run approximately every 45 minutes.

Excursion Notes

• Excursion prices shown are quoted in US dollars.
  
• The first bus is at 09:00 AM and the last bus is at 07:30 PM.
• The bus has air-conditioning on the lower level.
• We suggest you have cash on hand for refreshments, excursion staff gratuities, shopping, etc.
• Sensible, rubber-soled walking shoes are highly recommended along with sun protection.
• Please note that admission or entrance fees to the attractions/museums, etc are not included.
• Guests will need to take a taxi on their own to the meeting point and again back to the cruise terminal. The approximate cost per person is $5.00 USD (cost not included).

Excursion Restrictions

• Fold-up wheelchairs can be accommodated on the lower level of the bus only.
• Many sites in the city are not wheelchair accessible.
• Guests must be able to navigate a narrow steep staircase to access the top deck of the bus.
• Guests must be able to walk on paved, gravel and cobblestone surfaces, some on inclines at most stops.
• There are steps required to enter several of the sites as well as steep curbs in some areas.
• Seating on the bus is on a first come basis.
• Excursion tickets are only valid on City Sightseeing buses. Unused tickets or tickets presented to another operator are non-refundable.
• As there is no specific end time the excursion, it is the guest's responsibility to know their ships scheduled departure time and plan their day to be back on board at the appointed time.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
