Seize the chance to see and experience Jamaica's nature's best-kept secrets on this guided, easy-paced kayak excursion from Falmouth cruise port. Great for beginners, those with kayak experience, and families with children!

You will begin your adventure kayak cruise excursion just across the street from your Falmouth cruise ship terminal where you'll meet the friendly, English speaking Kayaking shore excursion guide for the short drive to your destination, Roi's Eco Park, just a 10-minute drive away. Roi's is a private eco-based facility located just outside of Falmouth, Jamaica. Although close to the city, you are surrounded by nature's full beauty - no crowds, no commercialism.

Upon arriving, your shore excursion guide will go over all of the safety and how-to instructions on how to have fun on your kayaks. No kayaking experience is needed and these are shared 2 person, sit-on-top type kayaks - easy to paddle on this slow-paced tour in the shallow lagoon. The kayak guides will then lead as you follow them through the calm waters of the private Roi's Lagoon. Enjoy the exclusive view of the lagoon's mangroves and Jamaica's unmatched nature. The Martha Brae River opens up into the lagoon and offers a great spot to experience this tropical environment and enjoy some of the flora and fauna living there.

Next, you will paddle along where only a kayak can get you, Pirate's Cove. Although reports say it once was a pirate hideaway, it is now a natural bird sanctuary where you will learn about the numerous species of aquatic birds indigenous to Jamaica. Numerous fish may also be spotted.

Your Falmouth Kayak shore excursion guides will lead the group back to the Eco Park Lodge, where you will enjoy a complimentary and delicious authentic Jamaican-style lunch at the on-site restaurant - Jerk chicken (made with natural Jamaican herbs and spice) and side dishes along with refreshing fruit punch to top it off. There is a bar where guests may purchase other beverages including authentic and all-time famous Jamaican Red Stripe beer. Also on-site is a small art gallery featuring works by local artists and a gift shop to browse and shop for souvenirs.

The fun continues with a relaxing 2-hour beach break on the sandy Jamaican shores. Swim, stroll the beach, or just relax in the beach chairs provided. When time is up, the transportation will take guests back to the Falmouth cruise terminal where you may return to your ship or continue your Jamaica cruise adventure, shopping, entertainment, restaurants, etc.

Note that guests may choose the kayak-only option and skip the beach break. See the order form. The kayak-only portion does not include lunch or the beach break time - the approximate time is 2.5 hours.

This was my first time kayaking. I'm not sure why I waited until I was 70! We met at our meeting point, but arrived a little early so the bus driver was not there. Others helped us by calling him and he arrived within ten minutes. The trip was pleasant to our location. When we got there, they weren't prepared for us. They thought we were coming later. Anyway, there were only three of us and they got everything ready and we were off on our kayak trip. We only spent about 90 minutes on the kayak and went through one mangrove. Time we got back, because of the wind, we had enough. Mark, our guide, did an excellent job, but he was really more interested in his tip. (He made a point about receiving tips). After the trip, we enjoy a great lunch of jerk chicken and then we took a bus to the beach location. The beach location was very crowded and the water was warm, but muddy as you went out a bit. There was confusion about getting into the beach since we didn't receive a wristband and we really weren't sure about the bus ride back to the port. No sweat, mon, we made it!

this was very fun, even after falling a couple times from the kayak, I can say that I enjoyed a lot this excursion. The "pirate cove" is very nice although a little crowded, I preferred the beach break after where we could relax for a while. Loved the jerk chicken, I even asked the recipe since I am planning on preparing it for my husband's bday next Sunday!
