Experience the natural landscape beauty with a guided bike ride on Stone Island! Discover the ecosystem, exploring a fruit orchard, bamboo plantation, and a beautiful flower garden filled with colorful butterflies and charming hummingbirds. Assist in the creation of a traditional dessert, fish grill, and an island toast from a quaint beachside hut.

You will meet your knowledgeable, local English speaking guide at your Mazatlan cruise terminal where you will be transported to Playa Sur and board a small fishing boat called a panga for the short ride to Stone Island. When you reach Stone Island, the guide will go over everything with you. Then you will receive your personally fitted bicycle and helmet to ensure comfort throughout the day. They will run by the schedule and safety instructions as well.

Once everyone in your small group of just 10 maximum is ready, the guide will lead you on the way. You will learn about the culture and social life through entertaining anecdotes from them along the way as well as explore Stone Island.

Upon arrival at Leonilas House, you will stop and help to make a coconut dessert for indulging a little later. Then you will enter the stunning Stone Island Botanical Gardens. You will pedal down a secluded highway on your bike to your next destination. Three miles and 1. 5 hours later you will arrive at La Palapa del Che, a cozy beachside hut where you will feast on a freshly prepared fish grill (a vegetarian option is available upon request) and the dessert you made earlier in the day. After lunch, you will have free time to enjoy the hammocks, bask in the warm sun, and enjoy the beautiful blue waters of the Pacific. Your adventure on Stone Island wraps up here.

You will board the panga and return the short distance back over to the city where you will be transported back to your Mazatlan cruise terminal to board your ship or continue to explore at your own expense.

Excursion Notes

• We suggest you wear your swimsuit under comfortable clothing, sturdy shoes, and sun protection and insect repellent.
• Bring along your camera and cash for food, drinks, additional purchases, tips, etc.
• Bikes used on this excursion can be hybrid, cruisers or mountain bikes depending on availability.
  
• Total biking distance is 3 miles (4.82km).
  

Where we meet

For the Mazatlan Tropical Bike Adventure Excursion, you will meet outside your cruise ship terminal. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• Guest must know how to ride a bike.
• Minimum participation age is 6 years old along with minimum height requirements.
• Minimum height is 4ft. (1.2m).
• Maximum weight is 265lbs (120kg).
• Although this bike excursion is not strenuous, guests should be in good health. Not allowed for expectant mothers and guests with recent surgeries.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
