For a great way to see Mallorca, we offer the classic double-decker bus with the hop-on/hop-off opportunity that lets you see this gorgeous, and historic city the way you want. Your ticket is good for one full day and you can take advantage of the choice between riding the whole route or picking and choosing where you want to visit. Also included in this shore excursion is a Boat Cruise that will take you around Palma Bay while you enjoy drinks and snacks.

With this great combo excursion, you can hop on board at the stop that is close to your Palma de Mallorca cruise ship pier. When you first come on board you will be given a map with all the stops. You can also learn more about the city and the highlights by using the individual audio system with earphones that will give you interesting information in a variety of languages including English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Chinese, Russian, and Catalan. 

Remember, you are welcome to ride the whole route and then pick which stop on the next circle around or get off at a sight you want to see more thoroughly. Then, when you're ready, you can hop back on the next bus. Wait time is minimal since the buses run all day.

Start your adventure at the Avenida de Antoni Maura and it takes you straight to Plaza del Mercat at Bus Stop 2, where you'll find the famous statue of the Prime Minister, Antonio Maura. Plaza de Espana is perhaps one of the most beautiful locations in Palma de Mallorca. It's a big square located in the city center and is enriched with culture and vibrant energy! Surrounded by trees and greenery, you can take a nice long stroll along the grounds. Hop off at Bus Stop 8 to take in the beauty of the Pueblo Espanol, a hidden gem of the village where there are many replications of famous buildings from all over Spain. Whether you are interested in shopping, museums, or a seaside stroll, there is everything to see and do along the route. Just remember that entrance fees to optional sites are not included.

You'll find the Plaza Mayor nearby which is a big central square with lots of outdoor restaurants for you to tuck in some tasty tapas. Hop off at stop 9 to see the amazing views from Bellver Castle (Entrance ticket included) this beautiful castle dates back to the early 14th century. It’s an amazingly impressive building. If you want the kids to see a real castle, there aren’t many better than this, please consider the castle is available from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM and Sundays are open until 3 PM. Another great place to hop off is Museo Es Baluard. It features more than 700 works from artists that have a relationship with the Balearics, among others. Picasso, Miró, and Sorolla are just some of the amazing artists whose works are featured. And the kicker is that this package includes the entrance! Also, don’t miss the Royal Palace of La Almudaina, which stands between La Seu and the sea. This amazing medieval palace is still the official summer home of the Spanish Royal Family. 

You will also get to see the skyline and shore from aboard a boat. A great way to see Mallorca from the waters of Palma Bay. Your water-sightseeing adventure departs from Escalera Real, but please redeem your ticket at stop 1 at least 15 minutes before the boat departs. The narrated boat ride takes approximately 50 minutes and it runs from 11:00 AM to 03:00 PM. Please note that the boat is not accessible to passengers with wheelchairs or mobility scooters. Please plan your schedule and route plan accordingly but your ticket is good for 24 hours, so it's easy to schedule your time on the bay. Be sure to check below for a listing of city stops.

Excursion Notes

• Excursion prices shown are quoted in US dollars.
• As you may be visiting a religious or memorial site, shoulders and knees must be covered for men and women.
• We suggest you have cash (Euros) on hand for refreshments, excursion staff gratuities, shopping, etc.
• Sensible, rubber-soled walking shoes are highly recommended along with sun protection.
• Please note that admission or entrance fees to the attractions/museums, etc are not included.
• The Boat Tour operates from April to October.
• Mobile or Paper vouchers are accepted.
• Most of the buses are wheelchair accessible. The buses cannot safely accommodate two or more occupied wheelchairs, so if there is already a wheelchair user on the bus that you want to board, unfortunately, you’ll need to wait for the next bus. The wheelchair spaces accommodate wheelchairs measuring up to 70 cm wide, 120 cm long, and 135 cm high. If your wheelchair is larger than this it will not be possible to fit into our buses.

Excursion Restrictions

• Fold-up wheelchairs can be accommodated on the lower level of the bus only.
• Many sites in the city are not wheelchair accessible.
• Guests must be able to navigate a narrow steep staircase to access the top deck of the bus.
• Guests must be able to walk on paved, gravel, and cobblestone surfaces, some on inclines at most stops.
• There are steps required to enter several of the sites as well as steep curbs in some areas.
• Seating on the bus is on a first come basis.
• Excursion tickets are only valid on City Sightseeing buses. Unused tickets or tickets presented to another operator are non-refundable.
• As there is no specific end time for the excursion, it is the guest's responsibility to know their ship's scheduled departure time and plan their day to be back on board at the appointed time.
• Please note that the boat is not accessible to passengers with wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
  
• The Bellver Castle is closed Sundays.
• Museu Es Baluard is closed Mondays.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
• Your ship skips/misses the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
  
• Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
