A visit to Cozumel cannot be complete without visiting Palancar Reef, Colombia Reef, and Starfish Bay (also known as El Cielo or Heaven). You will be amazed as you snorkel through these amazing sites that are considered the best locations for a unique snorkeling experience. There's limited spacing so please reserve in advance. It's an experience you do not want to miss out on!
Adventure awaits just a short 10-minute ride from your designated cruise ship terminal to the excursion meeting location. Your certified guide will be waiting for your arrival to proceed with check-in. You'll then hop aboard the boat that will take you to the first sites - Palancar and Colombia Coral Reefs. You will be given you sanitized snorkeling set and brief safety instructions.
Please note: Observers are welcome. There is a glass viewing window at the bottom of the boat so they can see the marine life below (pricing is the same for riders and snorkelers). Children under 4yrs old are free (one per couple). Regular child rates apply to others. See pricing below for more information.
Located within the Marine Park boundaries, Palancar and Colombia Reefs are thriving with marine life. The reefs at both sites are shallow so viewing is exceptional and up close. You will have about 30+ minutes at each site before heading towards the secluded area where few boats are allowed due to limited permits. El Cielo or "Heaven" in Spanish, is truly just that...heavenly. The shallow, crystal clear water is abundant with starfish on the pure white sandy bottom of the bay.
You will be provided with cold bottled water, juice, and beer on the boat. Whenever you had enough paradise for the day, you may take a return taxi back to your Cozumel cruise ship terminal.
Where we meet
Your meeting location for the Cozumel Colombia Reef, Palancar Reef, and Starfish Bay Snorkel Excursion is just a 3-8 minute taxi ride (not included, approx. $10.00-$14.00 USD, per taxi up to 4 passengers) away from your pier. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.
Cancellation
For the Cozumel Colombia, Palancar Reef and Starfish Bay Snorkel Excursion,we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if:
- You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
- Your ship misses/skips the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
- Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
