This is a Curacao excursion you won’t want to miss out on. The city of Willemstad, at the heart of Curacao, was chosen by the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, and with good reason.
You'll meet your excursion guide at your Curacao cruise ship terminal. Your adventure begins with the scenic drive through the Otrobanda district of Willemstad. Your guide will point out and provide fun facts about all the highlights of this part of the city. You will be able to take a scenic walk to photograph murals and street art in the recently revived area of Frederikstraat.
You will continue your sightseeing adventure to Landhuis Cobolobo, where the famous Genuine Curaçao Liqueur is made. On our way there, you will also pass the historic district of Scharloo, a former Jewish neighborhood. This is home to many historic buildings currently classified as monuments and is the reason why Curacao is listed on Unesco’s World Heritage List. Once you arrive at the distillery hall, wander the streets, take photos, taste the delicious liqueurs or you may purchase some souvenirs to take back home.
Up next, you will head to Fort Waakzaamheid. This fort dates back to 1803 and is perfectly situated for amazing views of the entrance of the harbor and coastline of Curacao. Here you will be able to take beautiful pictures, with your cruise ship in the background!
Then it’s off to Kokomo Beach! On your way to the beach, we will also stop at the salt lake to spot wild flamingos. At Kokomo Beach, you can enjoy the beautiful beach, take a refreshing swim or just relax at the beach restaurant. Please note that the water activities are available for rent at an additional cost, and food and drinks are available for purchase at the restaurant at your own expense.
Back on the sightseeing shore excursion bus, enjoy a special local refreshment, while you make your way back to the city. The last stop and photo opportunity is at the Parke di Lucha di Libertad. This park is dedicated to the fight for freedom from slavery. After this stop, your guide will take you back to your cruise ship or you can walk around in the city center and take a taxi back to your cruise ship terminal.

Where we meet
For this Curacao City Highlights and Sightseeing Excursion, you will meet within walking distance from your cruise ship terminal. All necessary information will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.
Cancellation
For the Curacao City Highlights and Island Sightseeing Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
