Your amazing day in Curacao will begin once you meet your guide at the cruise terminal. Your friendly guide will lead you to a journey in the historic district of Punda, where the iconic pastel-colored colonial buildings create a perfect backdrop for your adventure. Our first stop brings us to Wilhelmina Square, where you’ll not only admire the stunning architecture but also discover the fascinating stories behind our island’s name and the significance of beloved local terms like “Dushi” and “Chichi.” Don’t forget your camera, this is the perfect spot for some memorable photos!
As we meander through the colorful streets, we’ll visit the local market to explore the flavors of Curaçao. Taste a variety of authentic local foods while learning about the culinary traditions that make our island’s cuisine so special.
Next, we’ll introduce you to a beloved local sweet vendor, a true icon in the community, who has delighted generations with her traditional treats. Her sweets are a taste of Curaçao’s warm hospitality and history.
Our final stop immerses you in the soul of Curaçaoan culture. Discover the meaning behind our traditional dresses, the art of the headscarf (angisa), and the stories they tell. For groups of five or more, we offer a special live demonstration of how to wear the headscarf—an unforgettable experience highlighting the beauty of local customs. Interested in owning one? Headscarves are available for purchase and can be delivered to you within two days.
Where we meet
For this Curaçao Taste of Tradition, Bites & Culture Excursion, you will meet at your Curacao cruise ship terminal. All necessary information will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.
Cancellation
For the Curacao Taste of Tradition, Bites, and Culture Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
