This St. Maarten Island Sightseeing and Highlights with Beach, and Shopping Excursion is available from both Philipsburg (St. Maarten) and Marigot (St. Martin) cruise ports.
This small island has two names and is divided into two countries - French (St. Maarten) and Dutch (Sint Martin) sharing it equally. See some of the island's most famous sights including beautiful beaches, Maho Beach Plane Spotting, Orient Beach, and Oyster Pond, and still have time for shopping!
Your excursion will start just a few minutes by walk from your pier where your guide will meet you and get you going. Your transportation will take you sightseeing on the way to your first stop at the French/Dutch border. You will be able to be in 2 countries at the same time with one foot in St. Maarten and the other in Saint Martin!
You will move on to the overlook at Oyster Pond where you will have great views of the neighboring island - St. Barts. Do not forget your camera! On this excursion, you have a choice of two beaches: Orient Bay (a partially adult-only beach) or Grand Case Beach a more family-friendly beach! You will also find a variety of restaurants and bars as well as optional water activities for an additional cost - jet skis, parasailing, etc. along with lounge chairs, etc.
The French capital city of Marigot is the next stop where you will have time for shopping at the open-air market. Sunset Beach Bar on Maho Beach is where your mind-blowing plane spotting stop will be. The St. Maarten airport lies just at the edge of the water and beach where it seems like the planes are landing right on the sand and it is a show!
The gorgeous view from Cayhill, overlooking Simpson Bay Marina and Great Bay for great sights of Philipsburg and the harbor are next. Your guide will be giving you lots of local information as well as the background and history of the island before taking you back to the meeting spot just a 2-3 minute walk from your cruise ship terminal.
Where we meet
For this St. Maarten Highlights, Sightseeing, Beach, and Shopping Excursion depending on if you are coming in by tender or dock at the pier in St. Maarten, you will meet just a 2-3 minute walk from where you arrive. All necessary details will be printed on your electronic shore excursion ticket.
Cancellation
For the St. Maarten Orient Beach Splash Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
