It's just a short drive from your cruise terminal to your destination, Visit Cahuita National Park for an up-close encounter with nature. The park has flat and easy walking trails with abundant wildlife such as monkeys, sloths, toucans and coatis. The trail is about 3/4 mile long and takes about 45 minutes at a slow pace. This is a great option for seniors, children or anyone who want to take it easy. There is no mud or slippery paths.
Look up, look down...nature really surrounds you here. You might get a glimpse of numerous frog species and you might even get a glimpse of the red dart frog, a photo favorite. The trees above are home to 3 toed sloths as well as some stunning birds including toucans, tanagers, hummingbirds, and so many more. There are also a huge variety of trees and plants.

Did you know that Costa Rica is the world's second largest banana producer and that 80% of the plantations are located in the Limon area?
