The Venezia Nuova neighborhood dating back to the 1600's, was designed after and constructed by builders from Venice. Also from the 1600's is Bandini's masterpiece crafted in local Carrara marble, the Monument of the Four Moors. The Palazzo Comunale dates back to 1720 and the central Piazza Della Republica dates from 1847.
