This Antigua St. John's Sightseeing Cruise Excursion you will show you the best highlights and historical sites and your excursion guide will tell you the best stories about the significant figures and life on Antigua Island!

Your English speaking sightseeing cruise excursion guide will meet you just a 5-minute walk from your Antigua cruise pier. After greetings and introductions, you will board the air-conditioned tour van and the adventure sightseeing excursion begins.

You will start with a fantastic panoramic journey that will take you along the coastline and show you the best beaches of Antigua Island. You will see Ffryes Beach, Darkwood Beach and Turner's Beach will also allow you to catch views of Montserrat Island. 

Then guests will enjoy a 30-minute sightseeing ride through the Antigua rain forest, with banana and pineapple plantation fields along the sides of the road. You will be visiting the famous English Harbor for a walking tour of Nelson's Dockyard and the Museum. This is an active marina where you can see a wide variety of ships, old naval facilities, and the house of the Admiral Horatio Nelson, for whom the marina was named. The house is a prime example of the pure British style of 1787.

Afterward, you will visit Shirley Heights Lookout for the best panoramic view of English Harbor and most of the island. You will have a complimentary snack and beverage to relax for a minute and enjoy the great view.

The last stop of this Antigua Sightseeing Excursion will be at the Betty Hope Museum, an open air exhibition of an old sugar cane plantation set on a beautiful Caribbean landscape. You will see windmills, the cistern complex and the ruins of the estate house, where the cane was boiled to produce crystal sugar and rum.

The ride back to your Antigua cruise ship pier area takes approximately 20 minutes. Arriving back, you can browse the stores at Redcliffe Quay or walk back to your cruise ship. This is a great sightseeing shore excursion to get to know St. John's and Antigua Island!
