Starting right outside your cruise ship pier, the guide and transportation will be waiting for you. The route will take you through the Jamaican countryside on the way to the rafting base on the Martha Brae River. The scenery along the way is interesting as you pass small towns in Jamaica and see the everyday life of the locals..
Arriving at the rafting camp, you will board one of the 85 rafts. They are constructed from 30ft long bamboo poles and seat just 2 people. You will be introduced to your river captain who will use a pole to push your raft downstream. The captain will entertain you with facts and stories of the Martha Brae and Spanish treasure hunters.
You can also try your Tarzan skills on the rope swing or take a swim in the calm waters when you stop at the end.
After the relaxation of the Martha Brae River, you will ride back to Falmouth, where your excursion guide will take you on an entertaining and informative tour through this Historic Town. Do not forget to bring your camera, there will be plenty of opportunities for photography lovers. Visiting the old Georgian Building, Water Square, the Old Port, St. Peter's Anglican Church which was built in 1796, and the old Courthouse, built in 1817. You may spend some time shopping before its time to return to the ship.
