The Eastern Caribbean boasts some of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean. The U.S. Virgin Islands (St. Thomas, St. John, and St. Croix) are notorious for gorgeous beaches, 5-star resorts, and incredible cuisine. St. Martin/St. Maarten is noted for its diversity and friendly locals. Whereas the British Virgin Islands (Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke, and Tortola) are well known for their British hospitality. You'll also find Puerto Rico, Grand Turk, St. Barts, Antigua, Anguilla, Les Saintes, and Dominica. Some of these islands might have fewer visitors and therefore will offer that truly "get away from it all" island feeling.
Cruise ships make stops at all these islands, although there are fewer stops at the smaller locations, check with your travel agent.
